    can you explain the noise

    beep?
    friction?
    shrill whistle?
If it is a friction that is the fan is dirty.
If it is a whistle that is a problem of amperage or voltage.

This is a how many watt?
How many devices do you have in your PC?

Does it makes more noise in standby when you work? Perhaps only an impression because when you can not watch your PC running more and perhaps you mean less food.

    I have a continuous whistling and I think it is a 350W
    Should I change the food?

you have a lot of hard drives? CD DVD? USB devices powered by the motherboard (webcam ,...)
wheezing is often a sign of weakness of the food.
    I think you should consider a change for a 500 - 550 Watt.

350 watt is a bit small if you start in addition to USB devices powered by the box.

yes, whistling is often a signal of end of life of a food.

In addition to your diet is too low given the number of devices you use. So it is sure to increase the number of watt is the solution.

If your new diet whistles again is that perhaps you have a device that consumes too much and that is bad, but I have the impression that your PC is running well and that therefore the concern that only comes from your diet.

350 Watt frankly it is really too low and I would say that your food has survived until now and that you are lucky that your PC did not reboot or devices that no longer work.
Aims for 550 Watt to be quiet.
