Concerns about my vCore in intel E8500

    Hello everyone!

I recently did overclocking of my E8500 ...
And I have concerns about my vCore.

In fact I have a big difference between vCore Cpu-Z and my bios .... Who to believe?

Example: I just put my vCore to 1.3 v in the bios.
    I look at CPU-Z = 1.23
    I look OCCT = 1.23 More ...

If I am wrong not vCore original E8500 is 1.25 v., Gold CPU-Z, was my vCore of 1.20. I wish to state that I had to disable EIST, C1E and CIA 2. Further detail, I have the latest version of my BIOS, I'm on a EP45 UD3R. It disturbs me enough. I am in the presence of a software problem or a hardware problem?

    Thank you in advance!

    EDIT: This time CPU-Z 1264 I met with falls in 1248 ...

The v-core in the bios is an average applied and the value provided by the software is the actual value at a "T". that's why they can be a little different, but if your processor is stable, it's cool ... you know how to mount overclck ? in aircooling?

I lack a bit of info, like the model of the mobo, if EIST is enabled ...

But I already know that your version of CPU-Z is old enough, I'm too late and I am 1.46.
On these older versions there was a bug with the V-core which remained blocked even if the amount, cpu-z did not display more than a certain value.
But as you does not seem to be mounted high enough to come to this value I think you find a V-droop with your motherboard (an asus? ). The v-droop causes a difference between the v-core set in the bios and the v-core real, and sometimes the fall is more important responsibility than idle.

you are on what advances you to the fact that the BIOS displays an average value? this is the first time I hear it, so I do not contradict you, but if you're right I'd like to know where you got this info.
it seems strange that the bios am not capable of displaying the instantaneous value for the v-core when it can do for other values ...

Or maybe you speak of the set of v-core in the bios, which is not really an average value, but rather a value "requested" that can vary by more elements as a power supply designed in the v-droop etc .

    Motherboard: Gigabyte EP45 UD3R
    Processor: Intel E8500
    Ram: PC8500 PI GSKILL
    FAN : Noctua NH-U12P
    Seasonic S12 Power = 500 watts.

As highlighted Looping, I turned off the options for energy savings ^ ^
My version of CPU-Z 1.49 is the

    With a vCore of 1.25 requested I v got 4 Ghz
VCore posted on the CPU-Z was lower, around 1.20 V, see below, if my memory is good.

Here the story vCore was so nervous that I stopped my Overclocking and delivered to all settings.
This processor had looked so promising!

I thought of a lack of power from my power supply ...

the fact that occt and cpu-z gives the same value is logical, simply because occt uses a plugin cpu-z , otherwise, you pointed your full voltage? take a voltmeter and measure directly on the card, you will be on the value.
