First turn off C1E, CPU EIST, TM2. Now you can overclock cpu and ram. Set FSB 250 Mhz and CPU clock ratio for 10 (standard). System Memory Multiplier set to 3,33. Write more about ram. Set also voltage for cpu normal and for ram if you have normal ram set 1,8 if better with radiator set 2,1.
If you do this things you get CPU 2,5Ghz and RAM 833Mhz.
hey there!
This is the same motherboard that i use... I guess you are asking this as you aren't aware of a fact... "Gigabyte has bagged the Gamer's Choice Motherboard Award" that too three times in a row... I guess thats enough...!
All the best...!
with what you have you might be lucky to hit 400mhz fsb. though from what i have seen that G31 board has no 1:1 ratio for ram. making overclocking even much more difficult, by any chance did you look at the G43/G45 boards? those are going to be better overclockers vs G31, as i havent seen to many try to overclock with G31. its mainly G33/G35 boards that are used for overclocking on max.
