Problems with overclock on Sempron 3000+

As the title says I have problems with overclocking my AMD Sempron 3000+ cpu.
Clock it up and it runs just fine when I start the computer. And next time I start it up... it is reseted to normal mode. Someone who can analyze why?

It very difficult to find out actual problem. That can be a battery problem as you doubted. If you have not updated BIOS, it is perhaps a good idea to do it also.
