Hi all, I just replaced my old Asus MX 420 by Sparkle 5700LE.
The problem is that the fan is really noisy, and I put a paste.
I have an old stock paste chipset aluminum, do you think that will be enough?

Where did you found this antique? I hope you do not pay for it
Having said that such a GPU that does not heat much, so we just need to stick a big cooling equipment (as long as the box is broken at least) so that it works. The advantage is that the memory modules do not require cooling on these cards![]()

There is no need to pay largely for this card. And with connections provided you can put in 5V and it will not sound.
"I recently bought a GeForce Fx5700 LE, but I can barely see the difference with my former GeForce MX440 except for pixel shaders and other new stuff"
You should be seeing a fair differance from that upgrade, try setting your card to 'performance' instead of quallity (its somewhere in your advanced display settings) and you should see better results. BTW if you have a passivly cooled heatsink you might not want to push it too far.
you know you've made it big on here when you have your own imposter
I do have a passive heatsink cooling and no temperature monitoring.
I'll try something anyway.
Thanks for all your replies.
