Yes, everest is good for testing. There are also better softwares specific to such type of testing. Have a look here Detail list of Overclocking / Benchmarking software |

Test with everest and something coarse .. also a clock stable only for 90%. Obviously if the cpu and normal 70 °C steps you advice to stay near the pc... could pass the 80 °C in 24 hours of continuous load. Also because cpu load, ram and Northbridge, practically pulls the neck to the system. |
