    Pentium D 930 - High Temperature?

What would be the ideal temperature for the Pentium D 930?
In my cooler with the intel that came in the box, the temperature being the 70C to 80C at idle, without doing anything that requires!

If anybody has the 3Ghz Pentium D 930, Please post their temperatures.

I think that my processor temperature is high.

Man, this cooler is well-conditioned, therefore, that temperature is extremely high in idle. Should be around 30 degrees.

    Processor is the Pentium 920,

It usually keeps between 35 (doing things calm down) and 48 (Fear!)
Try to determine the vcore? Is there a ventilation? Use a cooler of intel, but I have a product with good fan on top and a FABRICS out of the processor.

The core of it is Presler? The Preslers warm a bit. I would recommend you replace the stock cooler for a better result.

My processor was also at that temperature, until the time I was very worried, then I checked temps. And really realized that was well bad. Then applied the cooler, that improved my source, now it does not passes 50 degrees

    These temperatures are very high
As others said, make sure the cooler is well seated and check the Vcore (voltage of the processor) to see if there is no surge.
One more thing: you were the one who assembled the machine or bought it readymade?
If you assembled, you might have put a label on top of the processor, hindering the contact between the processor and cooler.
If the case was (bought ready), take the machine to the authorized centre from where you bought and ask what is happening.
What is your PSU? It may also be influencing.

The whole series has 9XX core Presle.
500w? What kind? Generic does not support.
As already stated, check vcore and the ventilation of this cabinet.
