    overclock failed - E6600

    Hello,

    First to explain my problem,
    I have the following system configuration: Motherboard p5k, processor E6600, 2 benches 1GB Corsair XMS2 DDR2 800MHz, Zalman cpu heatsink CNPS8700led ..

    I decided to make an over-an enough to start as a point of reference, but after the restart, the cpu fan runs and lead the Motherboard access,but it still does not feel the bios of BEEP ... and the PC remains csi fink not extinguished with the power button.

    The next time the party bios and compare the "overclock failed, etc. .."
    I can not understand where I am wrong.

    my changes:
    C1E -> disabled
    Intel Speed Step -> disabled

    AI tuning -> manual
    Ratio CMOS Setting -> 8
    FSB -> 400
    PCIE frequency -> 101
    DRAM frequency -> 800MHz
    CPU voltage -> 1.35

    CPU spread spectrum -> disabled
    PCI spread spectrum -> disabled

    first attempt:
    Reset CMOS -> reset the CMOS I did ...
    But unfortunately I can not over-do it.

    I did some tests, ONLY if I change the multiplier. the bios without problems. when the only change FSB from 266 to 267 or any other number, does not work .. The same applies if I change often ram to, the PCI or Vcore.

    beauty is that the first PC was a bit overclocked. I changed when I returned sink in bios to raise the FSB and your beautiful Vanity.

    watch the rest CMOS, does not operate by removing the bacteria and returning it because this is not because of the configuration in bios are memorize directly on the chip (not quite expert in these things)

    I reset the CMOS done by reading the motherboard manual, there is a jumper that if the bios is moved back to the default (reset the CMOS).
    Read the book, there must be written as you reset or default bios ...

    pl let me know ..
