    Temperature testing with Everest

    Hello,
    I did a temperature test of cpu with everest and I wondered if my pc would need a cooling equipments. My cpu fan reaches a maximum temperature of 79 ° C, so is it good or bad, thank you in advance for your answers.

    There might be dust in the heatpipe or heatsink, so delicately try to remove it.

    thank you for the answer, I have another little question that one of my fan of my 8600M GT which is not running all the time and it is on dell laptop vostro 1700?

    Have you tried BIOS updates? You may be able to use Rivatuner or something of the sort to mod the fan speed.

    If you really wanted to stress it you could run an app that is designed to do just that (I don't have exact names but searches will find it) - companies use them to make sure their stuff isn't faulty. When I did work experience the place had just gotten new servers and was stress testing them which makes them have about 2 years wear in about 24 hours
