suggest a processor and motherboard for my toshiba laptop m45-s2653

Hi all,

i have a toshiba m45-s2653 satellite laptop. it has a intel centrino M processor 1.6kHz with intel mobile 915 chipset. (has a 128 mb shared graphics memory).

can I upgrade it to core 2 duo? if yes can you suggest me a good processor and motherboard that fits my laptop?

if its not too much can you post the price also? (INR)

i want a good graphics performance i.e 512 Mb graphics card!

Hi keerthi, as of your Toshiba m45-s2653 satellite laptop. is upgradable or not it depend upon the support of manufacturer.but most probably your laptop must be upgradable as it has an intel 915 chipset which support latest centrino 2 duo processers.what you can do is contact the service center of toshiba in india. if you need further help on this topic pls feel free to post here.

that was a good info. what i wanted was that since i only intel 815 chiset. i wanted a better one with good graphics? wat do you say? i dont think we can add graphics chip without upgrading chipset right?? pls correct me if iam wrong..

You are very right, If you have any lower version of product and you need the higher one, you need to upgrade it, in Your case, as you said that you have 815 chipset and you want better one with good graphics, you have to upgrade the chipset before installing any higher version graphic chip.
