    ASUS P5LD2X and E6550?

    Hi,
    i have E6550 2.33 Ghz & asusP5LD2X mobo.
    It runs at 1.80 Ghz.
    What to do?

    Look, if compatible, you work with FSB 1333, the board must be the P5LD2-X/1333, eh that a version of p5ld2-x fsb for 1333. But I'm sure ... No to but p5ld2-x/1333 to my use a processor with FSB 800.

    Overclocking wont hurt untill your system is stable. Go to your BIOS and in FSB increase it by 5 at a time, reboot into Windows, run some benchmarks like Prime95 Stress test, Si-Soft Sandra, keep a note of CPU, mobo temp (you can use SpeedFan to monitor temps) and if your system is stable under stress test for say 30mins or so, reboot go to BIOS, and increase FSB again and see the max you can overclock.
