    Quad core temps heading up

I am concerned about the working of my Quad core q6600 running on a XP system. I tested the temperatures which came out to be running at 90º F having Coolermaster with 120mm fans. Stress test gives upto 4% heat, the danger lavel being set to 10%. Just wanted to know if this is normal or not. If no, please suggest solution.

I also have another dual core AMD processor running on Vista machine which gives absolutely fine temperatures.

I tested mine and it came out to be 47º C. I terms of F, it would be 115º F. So is that too hot? My engg. had told me that the temps below 50º C is fine. And i had read somewhere that the processor is rated upto 70 º C !

I am not a computer nerd as such but do some performance test usually. The first built of mine with Intel Quad Core was,
    2500m drives
    2 GB Ram
    PNY FX570 graphics card

I did the stress test at 70%. I got a warning message that I am at 10%. I think if heating scale left to go then 10%, its therefore 90% hot...or what? Tell me if I am wrong and whether it is normal or not.

BTW: On this Quad core XP machine, I do Auto Cad most often. I play games on my Vista machine only.

116º F at full load and 90º F which is roughly 32º C at idle isn't any abnormal condition. That is very normal. Run the machine on full load and see what temperatures it reaches. To run at full load, run something like Seti@home.
