    Vista may be.

Try some modifications in your Vista, see what happens!

i dont think its Vista OR Vista alone, i feel it is heat related issue since he gets BSOD irrespective of its state ie. working or ideal.

Hey undervolting anything whether RAM, processor or chipset will definately will result in BSOD or hang. Overvolting will cause in more heat. Overclocking is handled by some motherboards better.
