The most trusted is the BIOS even if it is a plus or minus degC out. When a hardware device catches up with software you always have this issue. Mobos can cost a lot if manufacturers opted for accuracy on that. Every software probes in the os have to take their readings from the same hardware as the BIOS with an increase in the inaccuracy with the stuff running in the background. So use the hardware devices with the hardware reading which is a dedicated thermometer for accurate temperature readings.
You can use the CoreTemp for any cpu's with two or more cores to find the perfect accuracy.
I use this two little programs that is very useful
1. Core Temp 0.99.1
2. Real Temp 2.60
