    BSOD with new PC

    So I'm new to building PCs and I've had some help along the way. Everything else has gone smoothly until I attempted transferring hard drives over to the new system.

    My Specs:
    ABIT IP35-E motherboard
    4 (2 x 2) Gigs OCZ Reaper memory
    Q6600 2.4 GHz Core 2 Quad processor
    600 Watt BFG PSU
    160 Gig Maxtor HDD
    Sony Optiarc 16x DVD-RW drive

    I wiped the Maxtor of everything in the old computer using a Windows Vista disc, then proceeded to reinstall Vista with the same disc. I placed it in the new system with no changes after that. After attempting to boot from the Vista OS disc (and getting to the loading moving bar thingy) I get the blue screen of death and an error code with the following:

    Stop C000021A { Fatal System Error}
    The NT initial command process system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0xc0000001 (0x000000 0x000000)

    I continued to curse at my monitor maniacally, and now am here seeking help.

    NOTE: No drivers on the new system have been installed because I don't know what I'm doing. Or something.
    Please help.
