Access denied to external HDD when backup

Hi! I'm running daily manual backup on vista machine from LAN to external HDD(diferent one for every day) connected to my desktop. batch file which start backup is on one of the servers - shortcut on my desktop. alway when I run it it is saying access denied, cannot create file/directory on E: (which is externel HDD). I checked drive letters in batch - all ok, I've got ownership of external HDD and necessary administration rights. It works on XP pro SP2 machine with no problems. I thing I tried everything, from doing it as admin, I know stupid idea, but always the same.

what is the file format of the partitions ?

also after u connect the HD, do a reboot, still does the error remains ?

try disabling it and then again re-enabling it from device manager .... its some stupid explorer problem .. your hdd's fine ...

filesystem - NTFS
did try reboot & disable/enable as well - no success
what is even more funny is that that monday hdd have no problems - same security settings, etc.
