We currently have two AD servers in our domain. Both run Windows 2003 both with SP2
Server A is receiving the following errors in the event viewer every 20 or 30 seconds.
Event ID 1058
Windows cannot access the file gpt.ini for GPO CN={31B2F340-016D-11D2-945F-00C04FB984F9},CN=Policies,CN=System,DC=tfs,DC=ca. The file must be present at the location <\\tfs.ca\sysvol\tfs.ca\Policies\{31B2F340-016D-11D2-945F-00C04FB984F9}\gpt.ini>. (Access is denied). Group Policy processing aborted.
This is followed by the event
Event ID: 1030
Windows cannot query for the list of Group Policy objects. Check the event log for possible messages previously logged by the policy engine that describes the reason for this.
Server B (the second AD server) seems to be working fine.
If the issue lies in the GPO is there a method to recreate it from Sever B?
