Can;t get Vista basic to install

I install a new motherboard a pcchips A13G+. it uses nvidia 6100 chip set. I can't get vista basic to install on it. It goes the the motions but will not except the graphics and media drivers. It says to get updated drivers from manufacturer but I got their latest. I tried to download from nvidia but it is in .exe form which is no help on install until vista boot up, which it won't.

Yes it's OEM it came with the box before the mb upgrade.
