(Help) user account locked out

Hello all,


Please help me regarding this problem :

Yesterday, IT guy called me and told me that my Laptop was attacked by Virus. Than I took my laptop to him, and he installed an AVG antivirus. Than few hours later he called me and told that my laptop is clean.

Than I took back my laptop and log in as usuall. But than the problem occured. When asked to type the password, as usuall, I type my user name and password, but than every time I type it, than I get a message "Your User Account has been locked out, please contact your Admin".

The problem is I can't contact my admin, and the IT guy at my location can't repair it, since my cd rom and floopy disc drive is broken.

Can anybody suggest what should I do ? I am at very remote site now, thats why I can't buy new cd rom or floopy disc ??

I am using Windows XP Professional Service Packed 2.

Hi... Try booting into Safe mode... Restart your computer and as soon as it boots back, keep tapping "F8" key and it will take you to advance options. there highlight Safe mode and Hit enter. It will take you to the login screen again, but here we would be able to find another user account by the name "Administrator". by default there wont be any password for this account.. So try loggin into this account and try changing the password or removing the password of our other account..... If this works it will be really great...
