Error code: 0x8007025d while installing windows 8

I am trying to make clean installation of windows 8 in my friends system but between the process I get an error message saying “Windows 8 cannot install required files. Make sure all files required for installation are available, and restart the installation. Error code: 0x8007025d” I don’t know where I am going wrong, has anyone else faced the same error or has any idea about it??

What are you using for the installation?? I mean are you using windows 8 installation DVD or you are trying to install it from Windows 8 installation ISO on a USB drive. I have come across people who were getting the same error while using USB thumb drive. If you are amongst them then try burning Windows 8 installation ISO on to a DVD and try installing windows 8 after that.

I was trying to install windows 8 from Windows 8 installation ISO on an USB drive. However, I have tried burning ISO on to a DVD and carrying out the installation but I am getting the same error. I wanted to add that I am trying to install it on a newly bought Intel SSD. I have formatted it with NTFS and have created a new partition. Installation process starts when I run the iso but after reaching 30 percent it stops and throws and error saying “Windows 8 cannot install required files. Make sure all files required for installation are available, and restart the installation. Error code: 0x8007025d”. I have tried installing it quite a few times but no avail, is there anything I can try out further??

There might be something wrong with the ISO that you might have downloaded and you might have to download the ISO again, according to the error some required file is missing. I want to know form where you have downloaded the ISO? I also want to know if you had run Upgrade Assistant Manager before installing windows 8. If not, then run it now and let me know what it says. It will let you know if your system is capable of installing windows 8 or not.

Re: Error code: 0x8007025d while installing windows 8

I had run windows 8 Upgrade Assistant Manager and it had no complains. I had downloaded the ISO from Microsoft website. After your suggestion I have downloaded it again and have tried using both USB thumb drive and DVD install disc without any luck. I can’t get rid of that error message. I have checked out other forums where people have mentioned similar error and have tried out suggestions like unplugging unnecessary hardware devices, deleting new partitions and upgrading BIOS to the latest but none of them have helped. I have contacted Microsoft via email and have addressed my issue and I am waiting for their reply, until then if anyone is aware of any other solution that I can try out then please let me know, it will be grateful, thanks in advance.

Try burning new DVD media at a slower speed and see if it helps. I can’t think of any other thing that might be causing this issue, best of luck.
