Copy/Paste is not working in windows 8

I have installed windows 8 Pro in my system few hours ago and there is something wrong going on. For some reason Copy/Paste is not working in windows explorer. I can copy anything but whenever I perform pasting I just see the waiting cursor but it won’t get pasted. Has anyone else faced the same issue??? Do I have to reinstall windows 8? I dint came across any error while installing windows 8, don’t know what went wrong after installing it.

Your system might have got corrupted after the installation. In that case you can try running SFC command. In order to run SFC command you can follow below steps:

• Go to start > click on run > type ?cmd? without quotes and hit enter
• Now type ?sfc /scannow? without quotes and hit enter again

The System File Checker will check and fix all versions of protected system files if they are missing or corrupted after you?ll restart your system.

You can run the above tests very well but if they don?t make any difference in your case then just go through Event log and check if there is any suspicious error. If you see any then copy and paste it in your next reply for further help.

I have tried running Chkdsk and sfc /scannow command. Chkdsk dint reported any bad sector where as sfc /scannow did not came with any corruption.
I have checked out Event log and I have come across below error message:

Hey I was facing the same issue after installing windows 8 in my system. It dint started just after installing windows 8 but it started after installing some recommended updates. I had to uninstall all updates to get the Copy/Paste functionality working. So if you have installed any updates, then uninstall them, restart your system and cross check if it works fine after that. If issue continues then I will suggest you to reinstall windows 8.
