question Secure Boot compatibility in windows 8

Hi guys,

Tried Windows 8 compatibility and this is the major one shown in the result Secure Boot was not compatibile. What does this mean and what will it do if we still upgrade to Win 8 from win 7 ultimate

Already using win 7 & ubuntu dual boot...any suggestions or solutions will be easier for me to start my win 8 installation

Re: Secure Boot compatibility in windows 8

Well, you dont have to worry because Windows 8 will still install on your computer since the Operating System supports legacy BIOS. Also, do you mind telling us your computer specifications or laptop make or model you have? Normally, Secure Boot protects “unauthorized” operating systems and software from loading at the time of the startup process.

Re: Secure Boot compatibility in windows 8

Can you try to check with the computer manufacturer for a possible BIOS upgrade. Secure Boot is a prominent new security feature built into Windows 8 supported on hardware that only supports the Unified Extensible Firmware Interface. You can still install Windows 8 on your machine and use it without any issues as per the specs that you have listed.
