Windows 7 wont start and freezes up in safe mode

My windows 7 will not start it will freez up in safe mode and also in any other mode if freezes up right when the last thing you see is
Loaded: /windows/system32/DRIVERS/CLASSPNP.SYS
its not reconizing any of my backup cds im at a compleat loss and have no clue what to do
it dosnt go any futher than the windows loga when loading up reg.

You could try to follow the below solution and check if it works in your case:

1. First of all you need to boot the pc to windows recovery console, that can be accessed by pressing F8 at the startup before Windows loading screen.
2. After that, you will come accross a screen with various options, just click on Command Prompt from the given list and simply type the below sentence:
3. rename c:\windows\system32\drivers\classpnp.sys classpnp.old
   Note that, if your windows is installed on different drive other than C: then simply change the path for the same, and once it is done, I hope that your system wont crash anymore.
