How to check the version of Mac operating system I am using

I was previously using a Windows operating system and don’t have much Idea about the Mac OS. I have recently bought a new Apple Laptop, so trying to know about the laptop and the operating system as soon as possible. Recently my colleague asked which version of OS I am using on my laptop and I was just speechless because I did not know what OS version I am using. Anyhow at that movement just ignored the topic but now in feature I don’t want to face humiliation so can you please tell me how can I view which Mac operating system I am using and can you even guide me about all the operating systems available.

I’ll first suggest you that please don’t feel humiliated as half of the people on the globe only use one operating system for the life time so they know only one operating then it can be either Mac, Windows or anything. I have seen many engineers working on only one platform for their entire life and they don’t even know how other operating system work. Follow these easy steps which will tell you about your OS version on MAC.

1. From the menu, select About This Mac.
2. One window will open it will show your operating system version.

These is very simple and easy try it.

You can check the version of Mac operating system by following these simple steps:-
1. Click to Apple icon
2. open About This Mac
3. A popup window will open with all the details of your Mac information
