What to do with Windows 8 Consumer Preview after the Final release

I want to install Windows 8 on my computer, however I'm curious as to what will happen after the official release of Windows 8. Will I be able to continue using Windows 8 Consumer Preview, or will I have to go back to Windows 7?

Windows 8 Consumer Preview expires in Jan2013, after which you’ll either have to re-install Windows 7 or the previous version that you were using or buy and install Windows 8.
To be more precise, Windows expiry date and time is January 15th, 2013 at 6:59 PM.

Please note, you cannot upgrade to Windows 8 from any preview version. However, there’ll be a migrate option. You can clear the disk space and uninstall the previous (preview) version. You can also boot from external device for a complete clean installation.

So, In other words, my Windows 8 preview version will time out by Jan 2013… and I shouldn’t be taking the trouble of installing the preview version as it will hardly last, right?

Is there any backdoor operation that can be performed to extend the validity of the preview?

There is an idea which can help you extend the expiry date.

1) Run 'Winver' it will give the Expiry date.
2) Wind your Windows 8 clock forward to 2014. It works! But keeps rebooting!
