Make Grub2 as Graphical menu in Slackware Linux

My computer is now updated to the Slackware 13.37 and for this I have installed the Grub2 from the grub-1.99.tar.xz and the grub2.tar.gz source. There was no problem with the installation. Now I can see only single modality text on Grub2 menu but I want to see several operating systems are listed and the menu should load a background ((graphical menu). How to make it like that?

I really didn’t understand what you are trying to tell and what do you mean by that. Still you should try going to the /etc/default/grub file and see whether there is any mark to the left of the below line
    #GRUB_TERMINAL=console

I think that you have to use the Grub Customizer. This is a program with graphical interface which is designed to setup the grub2/burg settings and it will focus on the individual list order. You will not any dynamical behavior of grub. You can edit or configure the boot entry using this program and it is the main feature of this tool. It will not modify the grub.cfg for dynamical configuration but it changes the script order and generates proxies (script output filter).

I have also hard about this application but here the problem is it will only provide simple features and there are a few limitations. But one thing is sure that it is the first graphical interface to manage the Grub2 settings or menu. I heard that the new version of Grub Customizer will have the following features.
    • Configuration of the /etc/default/grub preferences
    • grub2 recovery functionality for live cds
