How to register to office 2011 after migration on my new iMac

I had used Mac book for two years and in the last week I have bought Apple iMac, so in the beginning I have migrated all the information along with the software to my new iMac, previously I had upgraded office 2008 to office 2011 using the one of the 3 licenses which I have got from Microsoft and at that time there is not any issue for me but now on my new iMac only office 2008 is working and for using office 2011 I need to register, but when I try to register with my 2 licenses left then none of the licenses is working and now I don’t know the reason of this issue, if anyone knows how to fix this issue then please help me.

I think you can reactivate to the office 2011 by using your product key you can find the product key on the e-mail message that was sent to you when you downloaded the software at the time of upgrade or in the “my account” page. you have to copy paste the entire product key in to the product key boxes after doing this you can also use the office2011 on your new iMac.

When you upgrade to office 2011on your Mac book then I think you should receive the key for office 2011 which is different from the key of office 2008 because you cannot activate the office 2011 using the office 2008 key and you can find the office 2011 key in the drive where you have installed the office 2011.

You should use the ‘Migration Assistant’ software to transfer all the Microsoft office application folders to the new iMac, according to the Microsoft it doesn’t require any activation or anything like that you only need the registration key and I think you must have receive this keys at the time of upgrading to office 2011.

If you are unable to register for office 2011 on your new iMac after migration then you can try with the reinstall of the office 2011 application on your iMac but before doing this you have to make sure that this application doesn’t having an uninstall option so instead of uninstall first you can restore your application to its original state and then delete it from the hard disk and then reinstall it from the original installation disk. I think you have to remove office completely from your computer and reinstall it again and for doing this you have to visit the Microsoft solution center and if you find it difficult then you should contact to Microsoft support to solve your issue in the right way.
