Windows 7 showing Inaccurate Wifi bars

There seems to me a strange behavior of wifi bars in my windows 7 computer. The problematic thing is that they won’t show an accurate amount of wifi bars. The wifi indicator resides in the task bar and it shows only 3 bars when I connect to the wifi network but when I disconnected it showing that it have full bars? How could be this?

The problem was with me also, not quite so extreme but always through. I have the wireless changed location, not metal (was previously on my gun cabinet, steel)!
