Windows 7 showing Inaccurate Wifi bars

There seems to me a strange behavior of wifi bars in my windows 7 computer. The problematic thing is that they won’t show an accurate amount of wifi bars. The wifi indicator resides in the task bar and it shows only 3 bars when I connect to the wifi network but when I disconnected it showing that it have full bars? How could be this?

If necessary. Time to try a different channel or the router once positioned slightly differently, if this antenna should not have to align.

The problem was with me also, not quite so extreme but always through. I have the wireless changed location, not metal (was previously on my gun cabinet, steel)! Changed adapter and the phone, the two parts interfere with each other! So wireless is now on a wooden cabinet and the connection / signals strength so to 95-86%. I think this is okay?

If you are using a laptop "no antenna" (a miniature internal antenna), it is not the best way to recover a weak signal. A PCMCIA card with a real antenna would probably be more efficient. Equipment with multiple antennas has a reception in "diversity" is a bit like they were looking for combinations of additions between their antennas to optimize reception. It works well enough but rather a solution for routers used on the pc cards. If you do not seek mobility, a good wireless router with a small Ethernet cable will probably total a better reception than the perf of reception on the PC whose position is not very free or a router then placed midway to play a role of relay.

It is impossible to break the blockade of what you say, because the blockade does not exist XD to be sure of the cause of the problem, you should check two factors, intensity and the signal: check signal as% of you have, second link speed check on how much has your connection, for that you must have correctly installed the driver for your motherboard

Steps to make the most of the WiFi signal:
    • Button: Start> Control Panel> Mouse Right Click on the icon: Network Connections> Click on: Properties
    • Button: Settings.
    • Tab: Advanced.
    • Search options: Transmit Power management and power. Both Intel and Atheros WiFi chips have proven to work in a similar or equivalent. In any case of absence of this option on your laptop must be in the same place with name equivalent.
    • Put the full power bars.
    • Save Changes.

This problem is quite common at universities, because sometimes the signal is lost by going into some classrooms or sometimes by the minimum energy value for capture launches our laptop wireless networks. As for the signal loss when we walk into the classroom cannot do much, because the signal is lost by the thickness of the walls (walls), the fatter are more likely is that you can lose.
