Re: Address book crash in OS X Lion

I am facing this trouble - upon opening address book it just keeps hitting the disk drive incessantly, and Activity Monitor variously says it's using between 1-5 GB of Virtual Memory (for ~3500 contacts) and "not responding" .I am using iCloud and I am not experiencing same trouble on my Lion.

Re: Address book crash in OS X Lion

I am using lion on my 2 pc out of 3 Macs with snow leopard on other one. Trouble is occurring only in Lion Equipped Mac Pro. I turned off icloud syncing for contacts in Mac pro, did cold boot, then turned it back on and restless disk activity and Cpu/memory usage seems to have stopped.
