what is "Protogon" file system ?

HI, i have recently installed windows 8 in my machine and have noticed one newer thing in it as when i was checking the properties of a folder i came to know that there is another type of file system as well offered by the windows 8. I was quite amazed after seeing that, currently i am not that aware about the file system much, but i would like to suggest you that guys if you have installed windows 8 in the machine then you should also check the same. and if someone is getting some sort of information about the same please let me know what is that’s exactly? Is this file system better than the tradition one that’s the FAT 32 and NTFS? Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Yeah off course you can do that but still before that you should make sure as you have installed build 7955 than you can format partition to "Protogon" by using CMD and diskpart. See i have mentioned all the steps perfectly for doing the same, so you can refer it.

• Run CMD with admin rights.
  
  
• In CMD type "diskpart"
  
  
• Diskpart command line will pop up, type "sel dis <number disk="" is="" located="" of="" partition="" where="" your="">" //You can get list of disk by typing "list disk"
  
  
• "sel par <number of="" partition="" your="">" //You can get list of your partitions by typing "list partition"
  
  
• "format FS=protogon QUICK"

That’s it, as the system completes this formatting process you can have the drive with this file system.
