Not able to logging in windows 8 after resuming from sleep
  

I have recently installed windows 8 on my l ThinkPad T420s which is running in UEFI mode and the problem I have started facing now is that I am not able to login after resuming from sleep and this does not happen for all the time but then it happens for the 80 percent of time. Whenever I try to enter the password and then I click on submit then nothing happens .I have already tried to do a hard shutdown but then even it did not helped. Any suggestion regarding this will be appreciated.

You can try to download the latest driver and if it is not installing properly than you can try to use the compatibility troubleshooter. Just follow the below steps:
  • Go to Start screen
  • Navigate to the bottom and then expand the Charms section
  • Then Select the Search
  • And then Type Compatibility
  • Then in the right column click on Settings
  • And then Click on Run programs made for previous versions of Windows
  • And then follow the instructions.

You can also try to disable the power management on the network adapter and then check if it helps, In order to do so just follow the below steps:
  • Go to the Start screen
  • Type Device Manager
  • Click on Settings
  • Click on Device Manager
  • Expand the Network adapters list
  • Right click the network adapter in question
  • Click on Properties
  • Click on Power Management tab
  • Uncheck ?Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power? box
  • Click OK and Exit Device Manager and reboot.

You can try out the above solution and what I want to ask you is just check if fingerprint logon is working or not. If it is not working then what you can do is just try to disable the fingerprint scanner device. I have not yet came across a computer having a fingerprint scanner but I think that there should be an option to disable it under the Personal Identification Devices I guess but I am not that sure so you can try to search for it and when you get it you can just disable it by right clicking on it and then selecting the disable option and then check if the problem has been resolved or not. If not then let me know so I can help you with some other solution.
