Good news for fans like me Windows (or developers), Microsoft has posted a demo version of its next operating system, for developers! You can download Windows 8! Too cool, I who was eager to try it. There is a 64-bit and 32-bit version but not ARM and Windows 8 is in English only for now.

More good news, there is no activation needed to play with! So by cons, I do not recommend you to make your system prod. Moreover, the ISO does not allow an update from Windows XP or Windows 7. We must do a clean install, and then put it on a test machine, or a new partition or on a virtualbox, it will be wiser.

There is no update from windows XP to windows 8. Or Win7 to windows8. All you need to do is a fresh installation. You need to download the ISO file and burn them into CD or DVD and then continue with installation procedure as you have done in other windows Oss.

The official channel there are various versions of Microsoft Windows 8, the most complete and weighs 4.8GB is full of tools for developers, the other builds weigh 3.8gb and have not included the tools for developers
