Will AutoCAD 2004 (32bits) run on Windows 7 64bits (OEM)

I have purchased new Lenovo Laptop G-560 (59-069251) Roi one month ago. I don’t have any problem with working of the device till last week. But after that I faced some serious problem with my device. Actually my laptop comes with windows Home Premium 64 bits. But I want to install older AutoCAD programs on my system. The older version is of 32 bit so it cannot run on my 64 bit system. So I want to downgrade Windows version in this computer to 32 bits. And I don’t want to buy a new OS. I want to ask Will AutoCAD 2004 (32bits) run on Windows 7 64bits (OEM). Can anyone give me some solution? Please help me.

I read your problem and come to know that I can give you some idea to solve your problem. here I am giving you one of them. I think you can try to contact the manufacturer of your laptop for obtaining the 32 bit version of Windows 7 Home Premium for your laptop. I think they can give you this service with small shipping and handling cost. If your device supports hardware assisted virtualization. You can also get some help from the Windows 7 Home Premium to Windows 7 Professional but it can be costly for you. but that is also a good solution for the problem.

I think your problem can be solved by some simple tricks. You can try to get the new CPU (processor) that can support hardware based virtualization. In Intel-VT or AMD-V you require to install two files:
    1. Windows6.1-KB958559-x64 or x86 it depends on your system architecture on which your system running.
    2. Then after you have to install WindowsXPMode_en-us

I can give you some suggestion to solve your problem. Actually I can give you information about the hardware virtualization. For enabling this you have to follow some steps.
For that first you have to Restart the computer and then enter BIOS setup. Then you have to Search virtualization setting in BIOS and enable the setting. After that you can Save BIOS settings. Then switch off the computer and after few minutes restart the system. In this way you can solve your problem.

I think you can simply solve your problem by some tricks. You can directly download Both Windows XP Mode and Windows Virtual PC from any windows authenticated sites and can use the features of that system. Or for better support you can go to the Microsoft’s authenticated site also.

I think I can give you some better idea because I also had the same problem sometime before. I am trying to run Autocad 2004 under Windows 7 Professional 64 bit. At the beginning it was crashing. But it allows saving of files. The problem is related to permissions so you can solve it by running as an Administrator. That will make it stable. I think the software will install without any problems or errors. You can also use the Win 7 Professional 64or Ultimate 64 for better use. I think this will give you some better experience. Thank you.
