why should i GET Error code 0x8007003 ?

I have purchased the HP desktop one year ago. I am the regular user of Windows XP. I don’t have any problem with my system till last month. Actually I want to change my operating system. And I want to use windows 7 as new one. but whenever I am trying to install Windows 7 on my system I get the Error code 0x8007003 while trying to expand files. Then I also try to use the brand new hard disk for better use. But nothing works and problem remains as it is. Can anyone give me some solution for solving this problem? Please help me.

I read your problem and come to know that I can give you some solution for solving this one. I think it is possible that your optical drive could be faulty. This type of problem commonly found due to this reason only. So try to replace the optical drive.

I want to give you some suggestion for solving your problem. If you have more than 1 hard drive then you have to make sure that you are installing to the boot one of them. Then you have to Unplug any USB drive, card or you can also use other storage device. Then you have to make sure your mobo's BIOS is up to date. And also try to make sure installed DVD is clean. I hope this will work for you.

I think I can give you some better option for your problem. I think this problem found due to vista that is non-compliant Plextor 708A DVD drive. So I want to give you advice to buy new SATA DVD burner (Pioneer 215D). this is the best option for you.

Your problem is not rare for the Microsoft users. So I hope this problem is not as big as you suppose. To solve this problem you have to try to wipe out the disk down and then clean the DVD drive with the help of cleaner disk. I think most of the file copy errors are found due to an inability to read the
media properly by the system. I think Vista disks seem to be particularly vulnerable to this. And there is not a lot of margin for error so you have to be careful during this. In this way you can solve your problem. I give you just suggestion and I am not so sure about the result. So you can try this as an experiment. Think this might helpful.

After reading your description I come to know that you have the software related problem only. The error may be in the recovery disk only. So you have to use the other disk for installation. Or if you have the warranty on your system then you have to check out for the replacement. this is the another best option for you.
