On mine system 6 GB left space before one week but last night when I checked mine hard disk space I have found that I have 2 GB only. Before this one week not even installed any software and any application but after that also mine disk ace increasing automatically. Last night when I restarted the system I have got the error message saying that:” windows didn’t shut down properly”. Can anyone suggest on this issue and so that I can solve min issue.

Re: Sudden increase in hard disk space

I would like to suggest you to perform the disk cleanup on your system and after that your disk space will decrease. To perform his make click on the start icon and after that click on the all program. Now on the all program go to the accessories and after that make click on the system tools. Now on the system tools make click on the disk cleanup. Now on the disk cleanup windows go to through steps given under that and after that make disk cleanup.

I think you need to delete old temp files in Local Settings\Temp and after that let me know the issue. to do this you need to go through your issue. to do this you need to go through the following steps: first go to the below location: C:\Documents and Settings. Now here select the user name and after that select Local Settings folder. Now on the on the Local Settings folder make double click on the Temp folder and now here delete the all file and document and after that close this.

I think you have enable the Hibernation on your Windows and therefore your getting this issue. if you have Disable Hibernation on your Windows and after that your disk space will decrease and therefore I would like to suggest you to Disable Hibernation on your Windows to do this go to the control panel on the system and after that make click on the Power Options icon. Now on the Power Options icon windows go to the Hibernate tab and under that make uncheck mark on the Enable hibernation checkbox and after that make click on the ok button and then let me know the issue.

If your frequently using the browser and then I would like to suggest you to Lower temp files in IE and after that also you can decrease the space. To perform the Lower temp files in IE you need to go through the following steps: first open the Internet explorer and after go to the tools on the menu and after that click on the internet option. Now on the internet option go to the general tab and then click on the setting. Now on the setting windows change the Disk space to use and after that your able to decrease the space.
