Should i update MSI 1651 notebook from 32-bit vista to 64-bit Windows 7

Hey I have a MS 1651 notebook in which I am running a windows vista and I am planning to have windows 7,as I have heard that it has two categories like 32 bit and the 64 bit, and whatever I am using seems 32 bit only, thus I have decided to move one, but still I have some confusion about that, first of all I would like to ask you that is it worthy to move towards the above mentioned operating system? Whatever the configuration I have includes Intel Core 2 Duo CPU P84000 @2.26GHz 2.27 GHz processor and the 4 GB of RAM, thus is it compatible with the hardware which I have? Need suggestion.

Yeah that’s very good as you’re planning to move on at last because, otherwise I was about to recommend you the same, and I’d say really your notebook have very good RIG, because if I say about myself only, I don’t have that good enough RIG to work with, but though I am working with windows 7 only, and it is giving me quite good performance, and accordingly I am sure that you’ll get off course better performance than mine.

I would say off course it is worthy to move on, you might seems little bit confused about both the operating system because both of them have the same graphics, and some of the functionality is same, but I would like to say that you’ll get the difference only after installing that windows, because as it is the newer version, many of features are enhanced in the windows 7 which were not presented in the previous any operating system.

I am using the same as you have mentioned but the only difference is like I am using the 32 bit version while you are planning to have 65 bit version, which quite good as I have heard, as you should install it without any recommendation. and in that you’ll get too many benefit, the best what I like was the driver issues is been solved in this, as it automatically install the required driver. Because as I already lost the DVD that contains all my motherboard driver, and then I was worried about that only, but really it is superb.

Hey I would say you should try the 32 Bit version because in that you’ll get the faster performance for the notebook that you have mentioned, and in the 64 bit, you need to have some more memory, as all the functionality it has, it takes too much memory for performing any operation. I am not saying that I won’t install on your machine, but would give you the lower performance, as first of all try to install the 32 bit version.

Hey as you are planning to install the new windows I would suggest you that install it from the fresh DVD of the windows and always use the genuine windows in the notebook, otherwise you’ll get some error afterward in while you about to install some updates for the operating system, thus use the genuine windows only, and if you are decided to download that, I would suggest you that if possible, don’t download it rather purchase it.
