I am not able to install mpkg file on my system

I am using the Macbook Pro 10.4.11 and everything on the system works fine without any issue. From last one week I have no issue on mine system but I have one installation file and that won’t let me to install the file. I not able to install the several programs that downloaded from the online. Last night I have downloaded the .dmg file and under that I have got the installation file that is .mpkg file. When I tried to install the .mpkg file I am not able to install this file. When I make double click on the .mpkg file I have got the run option but after that when I tried to install but it doesn’t make anything. Now I don’t what to do. Can anyone suggest on this issue and so that I can solve mine issue.

As I think you need to do have saved the file on the system and therefore your getting this problem. So I would like to suggest you to go through again online and after that download the installation file that you want and after that save where you want. Now once you finish this and after that try to install the file and after that go through your issue. I have seen most of this issue and most of the people forget to save the file and therefore they are not able to install. I hope this will help you.

I have gone through this same issue and I have gone through lots of solution but none of them helped me to solve mien issue. After day mine friend suggest me to go through mine issue on the administrator account and when I tried to install the administrator account I have solved mine issue. So I would like to suggest you to go through your issue on the administrator mode because your other account has don’t seem to have full privilege. So therefore go through your issue on the administrator account.

I would like to suggest you to install your .mpkg file on the safe mode and so that you can get ride your issue. To do this you need to go through the following steps: first close the application on your system and after that restarts your system. When you hear the startup sound and after that hold or hit the shift key from the keyboard continuously. While holding this key you will get the gray windows and after that release the key and then login with the administrator account and after that go through your issuer.

Did you tried to perform the repairing permissions with Disk Utility. I think you need to perform this and after that go through your issue. to perform this you need to have Installation CD of Mac OS. Now first put in the installation CD on your system and after that restart your system. While restarting your system hit or hold the C key continuously and after that you will get the windows and after that release the key. Now on the application enter your language and after that once you finish this go to the Utility in the menu bar. Now here choose the Disk Utility. Now on the Disk Utility make hit on the disk or volume in the list of disks and volumes and after that select on the First Aid. Now on the First Aid make click on the Repair Disk and after that restart your system and the go through your issue.

I just realized what was happening. I used Firefox to download these files and tried to install them by double-clicking. What I should have done was to download .pkg and .mpkg files with Safari which automatically runs them after they are downloaded. I tried it a few minutes ago and all the files that I was not able to install worked just fine.
