Stream Music on Snow Leopard without Transferring the Files.

I have an external hard drive connected to Mac Mini to store backup and MP3 storage devices. When I attempt to play a song with iTunes it forever transfers the file to your hard drive to hard drive of mini, instead of just running it (my favorite based on hard disk space on the Mini.) Is there a setting in iTunes favorites that I am losing, or is this "feature" I am to fixed with? Therefore, did any of you know of an option to iTunes for Mac that can stream music like WMP (win media player)?

According your problem if you have the external mini hard drive then you should connect to your Mac mini then you should the backup and also mp3 storage. First of before playing the iTunes you will update the driver of your Mac mini. Because some this problem arises due driver. Because it wants for update. After this you will turn off the system for few min. then after you restart it. Then you will play a song with iTunes. It never transfers the file to your hard drive. You should do this at least once.

I read your problem then I suggest you that you can also modify the default iTunes Media storage directory to a directory on your external hard disk and then maintain all the music on the external hard disk to save space on the internal drive. Or, if you truly required to be kind to your wife, you could find out of your putty knife and improve the hard disk on a 1 TB drive (which now makes portable size 2.5 units using the Mini. Then you can fix this problem.

Well, at last my wife determined that the Apple world is not for her; therefore I have the Mini on eBay. I am delighted I did not to set too much into it, although it was an enjoyable experiment. I think between the attractiveness of Win7 and the cost of the replacement of Photoshop that was not meant to be. For me, life is easier. I have only one operating system for solving the problems. I think it also effect the operating system. But I think you should try on the windows.

I have the same issue. And audio works very well on one occasion it's changed with Popcorn, in my case, to H.264 files to play on my iPhone. So, I know the audio is actually exists in the file, but when the .tivo file is played by Toast Video Player, there is no sound. I am using Snow Leopard 10.6.4, Toast Video Player 1.02, and Popcorn 3.0.4. It utilized to work, but I hadn't seen the .tivo files in a while, so I don't know when it stops working. Could have been when I improved from Leopard to Snow Leopard. I am seeing about it on the internet.
