If we compare Norton Ghost with Acronis,, i'll surely go with Acronis. Ghost is very good for Windows Xp and little bit for Vista But for windows 7, i recommend Acronis True Image Home 2010. Its really good. You should go with the same. for more info, see this: Configuration of Acronis True Image Home 2010

I second that in most cases. The only time I don't is when Acronis tries to assign drive letters to hidden partitions created by the manufacturer. Acronis will show you this before verifying that you wish to complete the task. You'll end up with your original C: drive as D: on the clone, etc..

I use a Ghost 11 Bootable CD when this is the case because it will ignore drive letters.

Nice thing about Acronis is that it will blow by most hard dish errors and complete the clone with minimal loss.
