How to slipstream Windows Live Essentials 2011 and IE9 into Windows 7 64bit

How to slipstream Windows Live Essentials 2011 (Full pack), Internet Explorer 9 on Windows 7 x64. Well I have already tried to install RT7 Lite with slipstreamed on Windows Live Essentials 2011. However it did not seems to be install properly and prompting an error message on the screen. We know that the RT7Lite is having support for .msu file. but I have not found .msu installer for Windows Live Essentials 2011. Let me know if you are having any suggestion for the same. Thanks a lot in advance.

No one can actually slipstream exe files.. however you can capture the image, capture several installations (version) to the same install.wim could be possible but size will increase quite big. this is the thing you can do to slipstreaming, another option is using setupcomplete.cmd

The official website of Microsoft l can help .msu package to integrate to Internet explorer 9.

To add switches to RTLite while installing applications if setupcomplete.cmd is not working. Following switches for Windows Live Essentials 2011 will do for you. Using this following command will be able to install the client only. I have tried below mentioned commands and it worked for me.

Using Registry Editor you can integrate your Internet Explorer and use the following steps to get the same:
    1. Hit Start button + R to open run command. Type “regedit” and press OK or “ENTER” to open the Registry Editor.

    2. Before we proceed our work, save a backup of the Registry Editor. Go to File > Export and save the .reg somewhere on your Hard disk or USB disk drive.

    3. Follow to the following path carefully in the Registry Editor:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\>Software\>Policies\>Microsoft\ >Internet Explorer\>Main
    4. You should Right click on the right pane and select New > DWORD (32-bit) Value.

    5. Now you should Change the value to “DisableFirstRunCustomize”.

    6. Now right-click and select modify from the right click menu.

    7. Edit the DWORD (32-bit) Value to ‘1’ from ‘0’ and then click OK.

    8. Finally Exit the Registry Editor.

To integrate your internet explorer you can use Group Policy Editor:

    2. Now carefully follow the below path:
User Configuration> Administrative Templates> Windows Components> Internet Explorer.
    3. On the right side you will find Prevent performance of First Run Customize settings, on double clicking on it, you will see the new setting window.

    4. Change the value Enabled and then you will see the options section. You are having dropdown menu there which have the following option:
    • Go directly to “Welcome To IE” page
    • Go directly to home page

If you select the option 1 you will skip the internet explorer first run Customize Settings and directly visit your home page. If youSelect the second option 2 you will skip the internet explorer first run Customize Settings and you will directly reach Welcome to Internet Explorer page.

    5. To save the settings click on Apply and then click ok. When you are complete with the above step exit the Group Policy Editor window.
