Unable to update windows Vista 64-bit after Hard Drive Replacement

I am using the Toshiba Satellite L305-S5945 laptop and I have installed the windows Vista 64-bit SP1. I have a message that Windows has encountered a problem with the hard disk. Then I found the analysis of virus and malware threats detected unusual or chkdsk and path, which is still getting the message. I did a reformat and reinstall Windows and still have the message. Using the same recovery disks that were created out of the old drive, reinstalling Windows Vista SP1 64-bit to the new drive. Windows loads fine, identify the new drive, and then improved all Toshiba drivers.

I'd suggest making the Windows Installer service, so you can update your windows automatically, so you can solve your trouble. To do this, follow these steps: tick Start and tick on the run and under that type: services.msc and then tick the OK button. Now Windows Installer will appear in the installation of all services under this right click and choose Start Windows Installer, during this time may get the error and whether he was beaten then follow, change the start-up type Automatic. Now, once you complete this reboot and go through subject.

Re: Unable to update windows Vista 64-bit after Hard Drive Replacement

You need to have a copy of Windows installed on your computer eligible for an upgrade to W7. You may not use the DVD to update the way to do with XP and before and provide the former through the operating system when requested during installation, because Vista and W7 does not work that way. With 64-bit is not necessary to start Setup from the desktop due to the configuration of 64 bits simply scans the system for an operating system upgrade as soon as introduces a key upgrade product. You are not prompted to restart and run from an operating system in the form of 32-bit Vista did. You can eliminate windows. Old files after installation. When offered the option to choose the Custom installation option, not the update. While the facility has already determined you are eligible and will let you install any way you want.
