Volume icon grayed and not functioning in taskbar

The volume control option in my windows vista compatible system is appearing as grayed and icon is disappeared, if I point the mouse on the icon it flashes that “No audio output device is installed”. Though the system was working fine till the last date, and this happened with me in last night. I tried to apply nay trick from device manager under audio tab, but no option is executing from there, where as the driver is listing properly. Any suggestion for me to resolve this issue?

Open task bar properties by right click on the task bar, from that popup windows select the star menu style and choose the customization option, then from the from down list look for the volume control icon, select that one and choose the correct option for appearing or to execute the control feature in your system. I hope by this the icon will be appeared and also will the options are start working. I was also tried this process when I was getting similar type of issue. I hope you will surely get nay help with this process.

Open control panel form start menu, now open the sound tab, under that look for the option “show volume icon in taskbar”, check that option by select that and check whether the icon is appearing in task bar system tray list or not. Because in some of the times I found for any type of mismanagement under windows operating the icon might be missing from it desire place, though no need to worry about this issue. Try with this process.

Did you installed any hardware device driver or nay application basically any graphic related in your system, because in few of the similar issues I encountered these types of icon disappeared problem might be occurred for them, in that cases if this did then remove that one or disable for the confirmation. Open program and features from control panel, form the drop down list if you found any such application which Si unknown to you or not compatible with the operating system, but still installed then remove that one, I hope it will help you to figure out the problem.
