| Re: Because of Windows 7 upgrade touchpad is not responding
Ok, I have some information to add, but do not know how useful it is. The problem appears to be driver. I reinstalled an image from your computer with Vista Service Pack 2, and again ran the upgrade to Windows 7 (32 bits). The touchpad worked throughout the update process until after the second restart (Windows 7 states of renovation is the installation of files and services). At that time the pointer was stuck at a point on the screen and the touchpad does not move through the last 2 restarts to complete the upgrade. I tried installing several different versions of the Synaptic drivers, none of which worked. Interestingly, when I tried a custom update, both at 32 and 64 bits, the touchpad starts to work immediately and all the way until the end of the update. After completing the custom update, I tried installing all versions of the drivers did not work through the upgrade of Vista, and has worked all of them. |

I would like to suggest you to update the windows so that you can solve your problem. To do these follow the steps below. First click on the start button and go to the search box. Under the search box type update and hit enter. Now you will get the all the results, under that make click on the windows update. Under the windows update select the check for updates and wait till the last update reports come. If you find the any links on the report or find out any update is there. If you get the any update make the all update. After that check mark the updates that you want each driver. And now make click on the OK button. Now when you complete the all update. Go to the windows update page and select the install update button, during this time your system also ask for to type the password of the administrator. Type the all information and then ok. I hope this will help you lot. |

Under control panel select the mouse and then go to the device settings. Under the device setting choose the Choose synaptic touchpad and make hit on the switch on. Now the below setting are for the scrolling, under the device setting choose the Choose synaptic touchpad and make hit on the setting. Under the setting make click on the check vertical and horizontal and finally hit the OK button. I hope this will help you lot. |
