"Windows Update 80070005" error in windows 7

I am really trying to add some nice updates on my Windows 7 pc. But I am having an error doing that. I am not able to figure out why this thing keeps occurring again and again. There are some pending update. I keep on getting notification for installing that. The error that I am facing is Windows Update 80070005. Is my antivirus causing the problem. I am having Norton Internet Security.

Looks like the update is damaged due to which you are facing that issue. You can skip that. Ignore the notification. It happens sometime when there are damaged updates released on Microsoft servers. You just have to ignore that until it is fixed. Still if you want to install that then you have to go with the manual download. You can run the setup for the same and test back.

The error indicates that you are not having proper write permission due to which you are facing the issue. You just have to run the full system update back in admin account and check back. I think this is quite enough to fix the issue. If you are getting the error in admin account then just create a new user profile and test in that account. The last option left is with a manual update. Downloading all updates one by one and installing them manually will solve the issue for sure.
