Robotic Static Sounds USB Headset in Mac

I am using Macintosh with 10.6.1 OS from the past one month. Whenever I am trying to use USB headset or USB audio input device I am getting robotic static sound after usage of around of 10 to 20 minutes. I have tried everything which I can do to solve the problem of mine. I tried with various headsets and various USB port but all of my efforts were fruitless. Can anyone tell me how to overcome from this situation? Any suggestion will be highly appreciated. Thanks a lot in advance.

I think it is a bug in to Apple USB driver which is a part of 10.5.7 update. I have found that number of controls in various audio USB devices are not provided in to /Applications/Utilities/Audio MIDI Setup.app. as soon as you move to audio with the mic with using USB device you will get a annoying noise. In this particular situation I recommend that you should different version of Java.
    • You have to start with Java Preferences which is located in to /Applications/Utilities/Java/Java Preferences.app
    • No go for General Tab and simply click on Java SE 6.
    • Now restart your computer and see whether problem persists or not.

I recommend that you should downgrade Apple USB Audio component to the 10.5.6.
    • You have to downgrade this particular component which is located at the /System/Library/Extensions/AppleUSBAudio.kext.
    • You have to back up /System/Library/Extensions/AppleUSBAudio.kext file.
    • You have to get the AppleUSBAudio.kext which is available in to Mac OS 10.5.6.
    • Now simply replace /System/Library/Extensions/AppleUSBAudio.kex with 10.5.6.
    • You have to use /Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility.app application to repair the files permission.
    • Now reboot your computer.
    • Let me know whether above mentioned solution was helpful to you or not.

Well I have seen that this particular problem is occurred with Mac OS X 10.5.6 on the basis of type of the USB audio device. If this particular device support for the single sample rate then I am sure that this problem also after switching with USB driver. When sample rate on both streams is detected one stream is seems to fail. Hence you have concluded that this problem is definitely not associated with USB. If audio driver. If you are using Ventrilo then Firewire audio device will have the same issue.

You can use the following steps to solve the problem.
    • You have to download OSX 10.6.4 combo update and download Pacifist.
    • Another thing you need to download is kext helper b7.
    • Now you have to launch OSX 10.6.4 combo update with using Pacifist.
    • You have to drag the following files on the desktop.
    • AppleUSBAudio.kext, AppleUSBMultitouch.kext, AppleUSBTopCase.kext, IOUSBFamily.kext, IOUSBMassStorageClass.kext, AppleUSBDisplays.kext.
    • Now launch Kext Helper b7 and drag all the files which are associated with kext in to app folder and enter the password when it is prompted.
    • Now reboot your computer.

You can use the following steps if you are using Ventrilao.
    • You have to move to the Apps/Utilities/Audio Midi Setup file.
    • Here you will see entry which will look like Open Aggregate Device Editor. Simply click on it.
    • Now you have to click on + button and it will add a new device at the bottom of sound device.
    • Now you have to use Clock radio button and choose USB devices and click on Done.
    • Finally you need to set default input and output for ‘Aggregate Device’
