Windows XP : CLI.exe - Application Error

I have installed Windows XP on the computer of mine. I am getting following error message on the screen. ‘CLI.exe - Application Error "The instruction at "0x5ff3d322” referenced memory at "0e412009c". The memory could not be "read". Click ok to terminate the program’ sometimes Outlook Express get freezes due to this particular error. Any suggestion to solve the matter will be highly appreciated. Thanks a lot in advance

CLI.exe is very dangerous if it is located in to C:\Windows\System32. It is located in to the Windows folder but not into the Windows core file. This program makes use of ports to plug with LAN or internet. I have seen that CLI.exe has ability to record inputs, hide itself, monitor applications. I have also found that some malware mask themselves as CLI.exe in particular situation when it is located in to c:\windows or c:\windows\system32 folder.

CLI.exe is usually installed with ATI branded graphic card especially with Catalyst hardware driver. i think CLI.exe is causes problem on Windows. It used to install easy to access taskbar icon in order to diagnostics features. Well it’s really not an essential process. I am suggesting that you should use registry scanner to fix the CLI.exe related errors. Make sure that you should not disable clie.exe since its required to work some application properly.

I am providing following steps which you can use to fix the problem

• You have to click on start button and go for All program.
• Now click on ATI Catalyst Control Center.
• You have to click on Advanced and simply choose Restart Runtime.

I am hoping that above mentioned setting will help you to fix the problem.
