not getting list of options to create new folder, detail of any folder, in windows xp

I am not getting the pane (I dnt knw wht it is called....it is normally having list of options to create new folder, detail of any folder...etc. I hope you understood that.) that is normally there on the left hand side of on my computer. Please tell me that how can I get them back? dnt tell me to repair or format the computer. I know that it is the last option to to it. Please reply!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well Mate, i understood what you saying. It is called as Task Pane (Blue color in the left side of Windows Explorer). Anyways, to get it back simply follow these few simple steps:

• Open My Computer.
• Go to Tools (Menu Bar) and click Folder Options.
• Now Check the box infront of "Show comman Tasks in Folder"

Thats it. You are done. Note: These steps are of Windows XP.
