I will recommend you to try disabling all the security software including firewall and anti-virus. And see if the problem persists. If it does not in that case the trouble can be with one of the security software. Errors 0x80042306 frequently take place at what time there is a third party application interfering while performing a System Restore. Therefore I would recommend you to perform a System Restore in Safe Mode furthermore verify if the problem persists. If it functions in Safe Mode, in that case there is a third party application which is causing the problem to happen, therefore, I would recommend you to set your PC in a Clean Boot State. Placing your system in clean boot state assists to make out if any third party software or else startup items are causing the problem. If yes, you might go forward and disable or else uninstall the same. You can follow the below methods to perform a clean boot. You will need to log on using administrator right and in the start search box type msconfig.exe and press enter. Now click option Selective startup on the General tab as well as after that unmark the startup items check box. Place a tick mark in front of Hide all Microsoft services on the services tab and after that Click Disable all. Now finally reboot your system to save the changes. |
