Public who rely on their PC for their livelihood rely on "my recent documents" for a million things. The "Recent Items" function does not appear capable to place any however the last edition. While a previous edition is shown in the jump folder, Windows is not able to locate it. Please inform me there are a setting a few places that I now have not set up. Everybody relies heavily on "my recent Documents". I cannot consider it is gone.

My Recent Documents is detached from the Start menu in Windows 7. Windows 7 categorizes recent items through the program utilized to open them, as well as every program on the Start menu or the taskbar has a Jump List of lately opened documents, websites, or files. This characteristic is through design in Windows 7.as well, restoring the “Recent items” into the File Save and Open dialogue box does not appear to be possible.

I have now got a new computer with Windows 7 as well as was at first aghast that there was no "Recent Documents” however I have now discovered that it DOES be present. Possibly in a improved form than in windows XP. In my Start menu, I have "pinned" Microsoft Word as well as Microsoft Excel. Now to the correct of each item, there is right bullet. Just left press this bullet as well as you will observe a list of recent docs for that application.

There have been quantities of characteristics that have unhappily been detached or misplaced in Windows 7. However the perfection in the taskbar and the start menu are fantastic .IMHO the most excellent characteristic of windows 7. And you are able to pin folders as well as observe newly opened folders too. Once you get utilized to using the jump lists, functioning on a PC with windows XP is hard.
