Actually with the file system of the target disk, so the external hard drive that has nothing to do. The message indicates, however, as written above, there is a problem with the file system. Something with FAT32. Cause it is a hidden recovery partition on the computer manufacturer. There are data that the computer can return to their initial state. When you create the system image, the Windows backup fails obviously it. If you set up the new backup, you can specify what to backup. To help get instructions. Choose the "What data to back up?" click on "User Defined" and the following dialog the drives. Finally, you can run the backup again.

"Recovery" is this recovery partition. If you do not need it because you have your Windows is already on CD / DVD you burn, you can delete this partition and allocate the space gained another partition. So like this you can fix this but ya I am not sure that whether this will work in your case or not because it works in my case so I think that it also helps you.

Recently I am also going through the same situation and regarding this some solution I have tried out in last night and those are:
    1. The VAIO Recovery Center, I've noticed here is a backup available, it is a backup created on 3 DVDs.
    2. What was interesting was that I could only burn 3 DVDs, when I disabled the AVIRA antivirus, otherwise it would not work.
    3. The 3 DVDs are ready and lt. Statement labeled and stored by me.
    4. I hope that I have thus all programs and data (Windows 7, etc.) on these 3 DVDs AGREES THAT?

I had a similar problem when backing up the system data of a Sony Vaio with the same operating system. About Vaio Care although you can save to USB, but USB drives seem to be supported. And of course everyone has lying around as a (minimum) 16GB USB flash drive, you have to dodge as well on the fuse with DVDs. When I perform my backups of Acronis, a disk that is optimal. But maybe it really is with you hardware reasons, why is not it.
